\"ArchLIGHT Registration has opened for this year’s ArchLIGHT Summit<\/a> at the Dallas Market Center on September 16th and 17th. I’ll be speaking twice.<\/p>\n

The first session on the 16th at 3 pm is titled \u00a0The Language of Light<\/strong>. I’ll be discussing how designing with light involves much more than understanding applications and footcandles. This seminar explores the many ways designers think about light as a design medium, describe light to themselves and others, and use light to create engaging environments. It explains how designers use qualities of light, light interacting with architecture and interior design, and lighting concepts. \u00a0There will be a book signing for both of my books at the end of the seminar.<\/p>\n

The second session is on the 17th at 1 pm and is titled 10 Years of Better Color Rendering<\/strong> where I’ll be introducing and discussing the upcoming ANSI\/IES LP-30. \u00a0It’s a users guide to TM-30 although the formal title is A Comprehensive Guide to Specifying Color Rendition – Concepts, Criteria, and Implementation<\/em>.<\/p>\n
